Prevent the Aftermath is a non-profit 501(c)(3). Donations go directly towards:
- Prevent the Aftermath’s operational costs;
- Reducing or eliminating the registration costs to train, police, mental health professionals, and other stakeholders to help proactively prevent active shooter violence, and;
- May be used to provide grants to community mental health organizations and smaller to mid-sized police departments across the country that lack the tools and resources they need to train, implement best practice strategies, and/or purchase equipment and supplies.

What does Prevent the Aftermath do?
Prevent the Aftermath was formed by mental health, law enforcement, and legal experts to help identify the best ways to recognize, assess, and potentially stop active shooter violence BEFORE it occurs. Prevent the Aftermath also provides grant funding to community mental health organizations and police departments across the country to help them operate in service to their respective communities. Our Articles of Incorporation are posted on our website for the public to see.
