After a long and distinguished career in law enforcement, Charlene Ashe now spends her days as a Compliance Training Investigator with the Alamogordo Public School District and enjoying the slower pace lifestyle with her loving wife and two young daughters. During Charlene’s twenty year career in law enforcement, she held several positions and ended her career as a Patrol Sergeant. As a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) instructor and CIT Coordinator, she has been pivotal in training officers to handle mental health crises with compassion and skill. Charlene also played a key role in establishing the Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) for the Alamogordo Police Department, which provides immediate support during mental health emergencies and was committed to enhancing police response and fostering community trust, which was the cornerstone of her career.
Charlene is committed to further her impact in the field, and is pursuing continuing education with the goal of earning a doctorate in criminology. This academic ambition reflects her dedication to advancing knowledge and practices within law enforcement and contributing to the development of more effective, evidence-based policing strategies. In Charlene’s free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her wife and daughters, exploring new hobbies, and watching her daughters grow.
